Dresses for the Classic Bride

I love a classic bride. For me, this is when the dress and the bride’s style stand the test of time. It’s a look that doesn’t need a lot of extra embellishment. Here’s my short list of current favorites.

Carolina Herrera

This dress by Carolina Herrera seems to have the model walking on air. The light and fluffy tulle are a beautiful compliment to the ruched bodice that features an open neckline which brings all the attention up to the brides’ decolletage and face.

Essense of Australia

A strapless satin mermaid dress with all of the attention on the fabric and design. I love when a dress doesn’t need lace, embellishment or frill to make it stand out. This dress does just that, and in true Essense of Australia form, the structure of the dress will make any bride feel amazing on her wedding day.

Legends by Romona Keveza

A classic bridal dress list can’t go without a visit from the Legends by Romona Keveza collection. This slightly fitted lace dress is accented with crystals that enhance the heirloom quality detail of the fabric. I love the neckline and fit of this dress to show off a bride’s beauty.

Martina Liana

This a-line silhouette by Martina Liana is so simple, yet so stunning. This designer uses silk fabrics and constructs the inside of the dress so well that you don’t have to think for a minute about the dress moving or shifting on your wedding day. I love the pleated bodice and sweetheart detail that will lift eyes up to your face.

Anne Barge

Anne Barge is another designer whose dresses are the epitome of classic bridal beauty. The scoop neckline with a bit of embroidery detail is just so simple and elegant. I love the fullness and flow of the skirt and how the embroidery trickles down into it.
